The House Of The Devil is the best horror movie that have yet to see.
It's Halloween season and I'm sure that a lot of you are on the search for a good horror movie. This can be very hard to do because there is so much trash out there parading as horror that meandering through the pile has become almost impossible. But don't worry, we got you.
There are a couple of horror films that are absolutely brilliant that you may have missed and one of those is "The House Of The Devil". Besides having the most basic horror movie name ever, it still manages to do what most horrors have failed to do in the 21st century and that is....actually scare you.
The House Of The Devil is a 2009 American horror film, written and directed by Ti West. It stars Jocelin Donahue, Tom Noonan, and Mary Woronov.
The movie follows a young girl who is hired as a babysitter in a very creepy and isolated house. She later finds herself in the middle of some very crazy and bizarre events that threaten her life.
The movie was able to score 87% on Rotten Tomatoes and was also able to nab a couple of awards after its release. One of those awards is the 2009 Birmingham Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival award for Best Feature Film. Also at the 2009 Screamfest, it won festival trophies for Best Actress (Jocelin Donahue) and Best Score (Jeff Grace).
In other words, this film completely crushed the game but I'm pretty sure most of you reading this have yet to see it. It is available right now on Prime Video, Blu-Ray and DVD.
