This surgical process entails the insertion of adjustable telescopic rods into the shins, gradually extending them over time to augment leg length. While Fischer attained the desired height increase, it came with repercussions beyond the monetary investment. She divulged that the operation resulted in periosteum inflammation, a condition characterized by inflammation of the connective tissue encasing bones, as per UConn Health.

This chronic ailment manifests symptoms like bone tenderness, stiffness, fever, chills, and tissue swelling around the bone. Expressing her longing for the removal of the rods, Fischer admitted to the regret surrounding the surgery, acknowledging it as an ill-advised decision. In an interview with MDR Jump, she recounted being persuaded by an ex-boyfriend who expressed a desire for her to be taller, a decision she now regrets profoundly.

Amidst her journey, Fischer has utilized her Instagram platform to promote her participation in reality TV shows like Battle of the Reality Stars, following stints on Germany's Next Top Model and Celebrity Big Brother. Beyond the glitz of her public persona, she offers glimpses into her personal life, sharing moments with her partner Stefan and reflecting on the resilience of her family through hardships.
