What Is The Plot Of 'Record of Ragnarok'?

'Record of Ragnarok' follows 13 historical figures who will have to engage in a battle of Ragnarok, a duel of death where humans have to fight gods in a quest to save humanity. The anime is set in a time where the gods have already decided to wipe out humanity. The only way to reverse the decision is for humans to get 7 wins against the gods. In a world where winning is the only key to save humanity, humans must do their best to forge the strongest warriors to stand a chance in a battle against the powerful gods.

In Norse mythology, the word Ragnarok means the destruction of the world through humanity's final fight with the gods. The title 'Record of Ragnarok' fits perfectly with the anime's narrative.
