As outrageous as it sounds, Nicki Minaj said that she wants to play the role of Catwoman in the upcoming Batman movie.
Recently, it was revealed that Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson was set to star as DC's latest Batman in Matt Reeve's latest movie 'The Batman'. Since then, there has been a lot of hype surrounding the movie, more so about who else would star in the film. Much of the focus was on Catwoman and people quickly started speculating who is going to be the best fit. Nicki Minaj took to Twitter to proclaim that she could be the right fit for the role.
The latest rumor suggests that Catwoman will be one of six or seven villains that would face Bruce in the next installment of the franchise. Quite a lot of names have come up so far, mainly by fans, and that includes Kristen Stewart, Vanessa Hudgens, and Aubrey Plaza. Even after the intense speculation, Warner Bros. is keeping it a tightly guarded secret about who is going to play the role of Selina Kyle.
Bruh if Nicki Minaj really thinks she can play CatWoman she’s outta her damn mind 😭😭😭— Matt (@Exclusive302) July 16, 2019
One of the fans of the pop singer took it to social media to suggest that she would be great for the role and she replied quickly, writing, "I'm ready. Ha!" We are not saying that it is a hasty response from her side saying that it is a perfect role for her, but we wouldn't blame her for wanting the highly coveted role. 'The Batman' is already one of the most anticipated movies of this year.
More dreadful casting for the Batman movie. Not sure that they could ruin this opportunity more. https://t.co/SobOE6rrzy— Stu Collett (@gromitski) July 16, 2019
Ben Affleck was not really a great suit to play the role of the Caped Crusader, and here's hoping that Pattinson will do a much better role at the job. Now, it remains to be seen who plays the role of Selina Kyle in the movie finally, but the fans are craving a definitive live-action version of Catwoman.

Anne Hathaway's portrayal of the character in 'The Dark Knight' was as closest as we got to the iteration, and Michelle Pfeiffer did a solid job in Batman Returns, but we still haven't got the perfect Catwoman we have desired always. Till then, let us keep our fingers crossed that The Batman delivers exactly what the fans are craving for, for so long.
