The live action remake of Mulan is coming and here's everything we know about it so far.
Disney is currently in the process of remaking their classic films into live-action formats. It's been done with much success and now the next one we can look forward to is Mulan. This film has been much anticipated and Disney has reportedly spent quite a lot of money to make sure that it is pleasing to the hardcore fans. Here is everything we know so far about it.
Mulan is all set to be released on March 27, 2020. It was first slated to be released on November 2018 but was pushed back after it took Disney longer than expected to find an actress for the starring role.
The plot for the live-action remake will be the same as the plot of the original. Mulan disguises herself as a man so that she can fight in the Imperial army in her father's place.
Unlike some of the other live-action remakes, Mulan will not be featuring music. The trailer did not feature any songs but director Niki Caro said that the team is "still exploring the role that music's going to play in it, but for sure there will be music."
Yes, there is. It shows Mulan disguised as a man going into battle against northern invaders in China.
It took Disney quite some time to find someone to play the role of Mulan but it was finally given to Yifei Liu. Other cast members include Donnie Yen as Commander Tung, Jet Li as The Emperor, Jason Scott Lee as Bori Khan, Li Gong as Xian Lang, Rosalind Chao as Hua Li, Utkarsh Ambudkar as Skatch,
Tzi Ma as Hua Zhou, Jimmy Wong as Ling, Yoson An as Chen Honghui, Doua Moua as Po, Ron Yuan as Sergeant Qiang, Roger Yuan as Duba Tegin and Chen Tang as Yao.
