Netflix's newest Spanish original follows a group of agents hunting Nazis in 1960s Spain.
Following the massive success of Spanish originals like 'Money Heist', Netflix continues to invest in more shows from foreign countries.
One of its latest investments is the Spanish Original 'Jaguar'-- a period crime drama series coming to Netflix this September.
'Jaguar' is a tale of vengeance, set in 1960s Spain.
The upcoming Netflix original is produced by Bambú Producciones and directed by Carlos Sedes and Jacobo Martínez. Bambú Producciones is known for their work on 'Gran Hotel,' 'Velvet,' 'Fariña,' 'Las chicas del cable', and 'El caso Asunta.'
The series is co-created by Ramón Campos and Gema R. Neira, who also co-wrote the script along with David Orea, Salvador S. Molina, and Moises Gómez.
Here is everything you need to know about 'Jaguar,' including release date, plot, cast, and more
'Jaguar' is coming to Netflix on September 22, 2021.
'Jaguar' is among the several Spanish titles announced by Netflix last year, along with 'Amor de madre' a New Dani de la Orden movie , 'Fuimos Canciones,' and a New Daniel Sánchez Arévalo show.
Filming for the show commenced on August 7, 2020, in different locations in Spain.
The series takes place in 1960s Spain when the country served as a refuge for hundreds of Nazis after World War II. The Nazis rebuilt their lives in Spain but hid their faces under a red cloth, presumably for their protection.
However, a group of people still do not forget their crimes and their faces. They made it their life mission to exact revenge for the atrocities they committed.
One of them is Isabel Garrido, a young female survivor of the Mauthausen extermination camp. Isabel is hunting Bachman, who is known as the most dangerous man in Europe.
Bachman killed Isabel's entire family when she was young.
She finds out that she is not alone in her mission, and joins forces with a group of agents also seeking justice. The title 'Jaguar' refers to Isabel's codename.
The main cast list is headed by Blanca Suárez, who plays Isabel Garrido AKA Jaguar. Stefan Weinert plays Otto Bachmann. Joining them are Francesc Garrido as Marsé, Óscar Casas as Castro, Lorenz Christian Köhler as Franz Ziereis, Adrián Lastra as Sordo, and Iván Marcos as Lucena.
The following actors are also cast for minor roles:
Yuri D. Brown as Hombre Bachmann
Pepe Ocio as Manuel Pertegaz
Christian Stamm as Comensal
Stefan Woelk as Diner 3
Jochen Horst as Aribert Heim
Jochen Hägele as Gunter
Thomas Sauerteig as Comensal
Julio Vélez as Excombatiente Mutilado
We currently have the official teaser/date announcement and the full trailer for 'Jaguar'. The date announcement trailer for the series sees Isabel and her comrades tracking down a man with a red cloth covering his face. The man walks away and takes off the red cloth revealing that he is no other than Bachman himself.
The full trailer shows Isabel's life story and how she came across other agents who are also looking for justice. However, Isabel's brand of revenge is different. Check out the trailers below!
