The beloved film series is returning via a reboot titled 'Home Sweet Home Alone'. The reboot serves as the sixth installment in the film series.
It will feature cameo appearances from 'Home Alone' alumni Macaulay Culkin and Devin Ratray, and preserve the true essence of the film series.
The original 'Home Alone' premiered in 1990 and turned Macaulay Culkin into a child star. The film was a tremendous success spawning three sequels and a made-for-TV movie.

'Home Alone' reboot will premiere on November 12, just in time for the holiday season. The movie will be available exclusively on Disney.
The reboot will mostly follow the same theme of the previous 'Home Alone' films.
Max Mercer (Archie Yates ) is a mischievous kid who is left behind while his family goes on a trip for Christmas.
While staying home alone, a married couple tries to break into their home and take a valuable heirloom.
Soon, chaos and hilarity follow as Max tries his best to protect his home and the family heirloom from getting stolen.

Archie Yates leads the cast list as Max Mercer, the young lad who will have to protect the family heirloom from robbers.
Joining him are Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt's Ellie Kemper, 'Deadpool 2' star Rob Delaney, Living with Yourself's Aisling Bea, Saturday Night Live's Kenan Thompson, and 'Veep' star Tim Simons.
Also included in the cast list are 'The Secret Life of Pets 2' Pete Holmes, Toy Story 4's Ally Maki, 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues' actor Chris Parnell.
Home Alone alumni Macaulay Culkin and Devin Ratray will be making cameo appearances and reprise their roles as Kevin and Buzz McCallister.
A year ago, there has been a petition from fans to re-cast Macaulay Culkin for the upcoming reboot. The actor hilariously responded with a tweet saying:
"I have a big problem with this petition... I'm actually 39 years old."
The reboot is directed by Dan Mazer ('Dirty Grandpa'), with a screenplay by Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell. Day and Seidell are both writers from 'Saturday Night Live'. The two of them wrote the script with John Hughes, who wrote the original “Home Alone” and two of its sequels, based on a screenplay by Hughes.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix's Hutch Parker and Patriots Day's Dan Wilson are on board as producers, with Stuber's Jeremiah Samuels as executive producer.
