'Hawkeye' has finally finished production and is scheduled to premiere late this year. Here are all the latest details including release dates, plot, cast theories, and more.
'Hawkeye' is having his Disney+ series, and it's about to get emotional.
The upcoming show will follow the master archer's adventure as he prepares a young Avenger to take over the mantle.
It will also serve as an onscreen debut for new characters like Echo, a deaf Native American superhero.
'Hawkeye' already managed to complete filming amidst the Coronavirus outbreak.
Here is everything you need to know.
Initial Release Date: late 2021
The series is targetting to premiere on the Disney+ channel in late 2021. Since the Disney+ shows and the Marvel films are connected, the release date for 'Hawkeye' may depend on whether 'Black Widow' finally gets released soon. The stories of 'Hawkeye' and 'Black Widow' are linked through Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova. In the 'Hawkeye' TV series, Yelena appears as Black Widow, which means that she will take over the title from her spy sister figure Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) in the upcoming film.
Leaked set photos indicated that the series would occur during the Christmas season. So probably, we'll get to see Hawkeye in the last quarter of 2021.

In terms of production, 'Hawkeye' seems to be on track for a late 2021 premiere schedule. The TV series has already entered post-production status as of late April 2021.
Filming for Hawkeye began in early December 2020 in New York City, under the working title 'Anchor Point.' They moved to a new location in downtown Canton, Georgia, on February 22, 2021. Filming finally wrapped on April 21, 2021.
The upcoming Disney+ series will center on a young Kate Bishop who takes over the mantle and arrow from Hawkeye (Clint Barton). Hawkeye will take place following the harrowing events of 'Avengers: Endgame.'
In the comics, Kate is a member of the Young Avengers and took over the Hawkeye identity after Barton was thought to have died. Barton was eventually brought back to life, but the archer took over the Ronin identity and allowed Kate to continue to be Hawkeye. Clint wore his Ronin costume in Endgame, although the movie did not call him by his new name. The MCU might have saved that moniker for the Disney+ series.
We are expecting to see Kate and Clint embark on an adventure as the new and young Hawkeye trains under his tutelage. Also, expect a lot of cute moments with Lucky the Pizza Dog on the series. The adorable furry friend has been spotted on-set during the early days of filming.
Twitter user UptoTASK spotted Jeremy Renner wearing a small, flesh-colored hearing aid on the set of 'Hawkeye'. There are theories that the series will follow the comics narrative, which sees Hawkeye losing his hearing.

Hawkeye lost his hearing in the comics after the villainous Clown stabbed Hawkeye's ears with arrows. Variety confirmed that a character named Kazi (aka Kazimierz Kazimierczak) will appear in the show. This leads us to believe that the Clown will be one of the central nemesis for the Disney+ series and that Clint will go deaf.
Jeremy Renner will reprise his MCU role as Hawkeye, AKA Clint Barton. Hailee Steinfeld will star as Kate Bishop, who will take over the Hawkeye mantle under Clint's tutelage. Her character has huge respect for Clint Barton.
Florence Pugh is joining the cast as Black Widow, AKA Yelena Belova. Her appearance as Black Widow in the 'Hawkeye' series suggests that she will be taking over the title from Natasha Romanoff in 'Black Widow' 2.
The Conjuring's Vera Farmiga will star as Eleanor Bishop, Kate's mother.
Newcomer Alaqua Cox will play Maya Lopez, aka Echo. She is a deaf Native American superhero and her superpowers allow her to perfectly copy an enemy's fighting style. Echo was the original Ronin in the comics, the new moniker that Clint will be using. Fra Fee stars as Kazi/ Clown. He is expected to wreak havoc in the upcoming series.
Jolt, a golden retriever, will steal the spotlight as Lucky the Pizza Dog.
Ben Sakamoto, Ava Russo, and Cade Woodward are also reprising their roles as Clint's children Cooper, Lila, and Nathaniel.
To complete the list, we have Tony Dalton as Jack Duquesne (Clint's early mentor), Zahn McClarnon as William Lopez (Maya's father).
Brian d'Arcy James is also part of the cast list, but his role is yet to be disclosed.
We are expecting to see the official trailer a few months from now. We will update this space once the trailer is released, so feel free to check back on the link from time to time.
