The series is finally coming back after suffering delays due to Covid-19 pandemic. Here's everything we know.
Callie and Mariana are getting back in a 'judgment-free zone' for 'Good Trouble' Season 3.
The Adams Foster siblings are faced with more issues they must overcome in the upcoming season.
Here's everything you need to know about 'Good Trouble' season 3.
Callie and Mariana's life are just getting started, and the two are coming back for season 3!
News of the renewal came in January 2020, even before season 2 ended.
'Good Trouble' has been enjoying tremendous success since its premiere in 2019.
The show was 2019's No. 2 new cable drama among Females 12-34, Deadline reported. Hence, the renewal is just the most logical move for Freeform.
Season 3 was supposed to premiere in the Summer of 2020. However, the production was halted by the Covid-19 pandemic, just like most films and television productions this year.
Lead stars Maia Mitchell and Cierra Ramirez revealed the sad announcement back in May 2020 through a short video below.
Nevertheless, it's good to know that the show's finally coming back next month!
'Good Trouble' is scheduled to return for season 3 on Wednesday, February 17th at 10p/9c on Freeform TV, the network announced on Twitter.
Season 2 episode finale aired back in early March 2020 and left a couple of cliffhangers that will be explored in the upcoming season.
We'll discuss this more below.
'Good Trouble' is a spin-off of the Freeform show The Fosters and follows Adams Foster siblings Callie and Mariana as they navigate through their young-adult life after relocating in The Coterie, a communal living apartment building in Los Angeles.
As mentioned, there are a couple of cliffhangers that need to be addressed in the upcoming season.
First, we need to find out what's next between Jamie and Callie's relationship after the moving-out-drama in season 2. Are they breaking up for good? Or will they pick things up and start over in season 3?
There's also an enigma about Mariana and her boss Evan hooking up, which never sounded like a good idea.
“I think she wasn’t really thinking soberly in that moment,” executive producer Joanna Johnson told TVLine, “which is something we’ll pick up on in Season 3 — the morning after, and you’re like, ‘Oh, what did I just do?'”
Season 3 will pick up where season 2 ended, hence, it will not be including the pandemic in its storyline, at least for the first half of the season.
“The stories that we were already shooting and that we’d already broken were happening pre-COVID,” Johnson explained. “So for the first half of the season, we’re going to stay in that pre-COVID world.”
Maia Mitchell and Cierra Ramirez are coming back as siblings Callie and Mariana.
The series revolves around them, so it's impossible to see another season without the two.
Other main cast members expected to reprise their roles are Zuri Adele as Malika Williams, Sherry Cola as Alice Kwan, Tommy Martinez as Gael Martinez, Roger Bart as Judge Curtis Wilson, Emma Hunton as Davia Boheme, Josh Pence as Dennis Cooper, and Beau Mirchoff as Jamie Hunter among others.
We are still waiting for Freeform to drop the official trailer for season 3, but they already treated us to another teaser clip a few days ago.
