When is the rom-com flick scheduled to release?
Ghosted filming began on February 14, 2022, in Atlanta, Georgia. Further filming occurred in the Washington, DC region. Filming was finally completed in May 2022. Ghosted will be available on Apple TV+ on April 21, 2023. There is no news on whether the film will be released theatrically, although it is plausible given that other recent star-powered Apple films such as Spirited and The Greatest Beer Run Ever were released in theatres a week before being released on Apple TV+.
What is the 'Ghosted' plot about?
The official plot of the movie reads, “Salt-of-the-earth Cole (Evans) falls head over heels for enigmatic Sadie (de Armas)—but then makes the shocking discovery that she’s a secret agent. Before they can decide on a second date, Cole and Sadie are swept away on an international adventure to save the world.” Cole Riggan, a sincere and compassionate guy who falls deeply in love with Sadie, will be played by Chris Evans. Cole flies to Europe after she suddenly stops responding to his texts, unaware that the lady of his dreams is a great spy.
In Ghosted, Ana De Armas will portray Sadie, a mysterious young woman who becomes the object of devotion for Evans' Cole. Of course, Sadie isn't your typical rom-com love interest; she's a CIA covert agent on one of her most dangerous missions ever.
The trailer for the action-packed romantic comedy was released on March 7, 2023, by Apple TV. It begins with a love-at-first-sight kind of moment which eventually fades as the protagonist comes across the truth behind the identity of his lover. A CIA officer, and always up for an adventure, the girl Evans falls for isn’t what he believed her to be. A lot like Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz starrer Knight and Day, the movie seems promising in terms of fulfilling the needs of the rom-com-action genre.
