Beckinsale starred in several action films like the Underworld series between 2003 to 2016 playing the role of Selene as well as starting in 2004's Van Helsing.
Kate Beckinsale is an English actress with more than 25 years of acting experience that spans both television and movie mediums. Before making her eventual film debut in 1993's Much Ado About Nothing while still being an Oxford University student, she was starring in a variety of minor television roles. Eventually, she started getting roles in a variety of British costume dramas and then starred in several big-budget movies including 2001's Pearl Harbor, 2004's The Aviator and 2006's Click.
Beckinsale would also be starring in several action films like the Underworld series between 2003 to 2016 playing the role of Selene as well as starting in 2004's Van Helsing.
Then for the rest of the 2000s, she would make appearances in several small-scale drama projects. It wasn't until 2016 when she received global praise for her performance in Love & Friendship, which is a period comedy film.
If you're a fan of Beckinsale's work and would like to know about any potential future projects that she may be working on, whether television or movie, then this is just the resource that you're looking for. And like you, we also hope that her upcoming roles are as greatly received as some of the recent ones.

In one of her more dramatic roles, Beckinsale plays the role of a woman named Georgia Wells who believed her husband, Will Mason had died in a plane crash three years ago only to discover that he is still alive in the Congo. When she saw an image of her husband flashing on a strange Congo TV footage, she wasted no time in getting herself ready to go look for him. Now determined to leave her lonely life in a distant Welsh cabin behind to find her missing husband, Georgia goes through a number of obstacles and adversaries in order to be reunited with her spouse.
The series is packed with over eight one hour episodes of enticing storytelling and intense action scenes that unravel really nicely. Each episode also takes us down to the memory lane of Georgia, including how she and her husband met and also experience the birth as well as the unfortunate death of their infant girl. Knowing deep in her heart that her husband may still be alive, Georgia breaks through a smorgasbord of shootouts, bomb blasts, threats of rape and so much more that is typical of Beckinsale's action-girl persona.
It's been nine months since the show's premiere on Netflix and there's still no word of the second season, but given how the show is riddled with action and drama, and Beckinsale's action star etched in Hollywood history, we can expect a follow-up soon enough.
Release Date: Possibly 2020
Beckinsale's action streak continues with Tanya Wexler-helmed (Hysteria) Jolt, with writing done by Scott Wascha, that is possibly looking for a 2020 release date. It is part action and part comedy which is set to feature some butt-kicking scenes along with those that will hopefully leave you with a barrel full of laughs.
Here, Beckinsale plays the role of a female bouncer with serious anger management issues that she keeps in check with a special best that keeps her under control by administering a shop that brings her back to her senses. The root of her anger stems from the murder of a man that she fell in love with, which eventually drove her into a path of homicidal-infused rage. Now she's on the hunt of the person responsible for ruining her life as she is tailed by a persistent police force.
Sherryl Clark (Cloverfield) will be producing the film alongside Millennium Media group members Les Weldon and David Bernardi. Principal photography had already commenced back in July 2019 but there's still no word on when it'll be finished. One can only hope that the film is near the end of its production by now and hopefully will get a trailer along with a release date as well. For the moment, it looks as if we could expect a late 2020 or early 2021 release date soon.
Other cast members include Laverne Cox, Stanley Tucci, Bobby Cannavale, Jai Courtney, and Lili Rich.

Ever since its announcement in January 2017, we haven't heard anything else from the Adam Shankman (Hairspray, A Walk to Remember) adaption of Ashley Prentice Norton's 2012 mother-daughter novel The Chocolate Money. What we do know is that Kate Beckinsale is not only starring in this interesting project but is also producing it alongside Mar-Key Pictures' Leslie Urdang as well as Kelly E. Ashton and Miranda de Pencier.
We're just going out on a limb here and assuming that Beckinsale is playing the role of the mother, leaving whoever is playing the daughter up in the air.
The story is set in New York in the 80s which revolves around the rough relationship between the highly rich chocolate heiress, Babs Ballantyne along with her young precocious daughter Bettina. Bettina always looks up to her mother's lifestyle and constantly tries to do anything to get her attention. She regularly dreams about having a normal family life and even develops an infatuation with her mother's new married spouse, Mack.
Things take a dramatic turn from that point on for which you'll need to read the book on your own in order to see where it goes.
Release Date: TBA
Lastly, Beckinsale is set to star in Charlie Day's directional comedy debut 'El Tonto', produced by Wrigley Pictures and Armory Films. The story centers around Day's character, who is a mute cast out by society after coming to New York by bus, who instantly becomes a celebrity only to eventually lose all of it later on. It's that kind of premise which is unique and really inviting at the same time.
No word yet on what Beckinsale's role is in the film as of yet, however, other celebrities and stars have been attached to the project including:
● Jason Sudeikis
● Ken Jeong
● Adrian Brody
● Jillian Bell
● John Malkovich
● Edie Falco
