Cinema Full Of Kids In Tears As Horror Movie Is Played Instead Of Detective Pikachu

Kids at a theater in Canada were left in tears after a mix-up which saw The Curse Of La Llorona play instead of Detective Pikachu.

Detective Pikachu opened with a pretty good $58 million haul. People from all over the world came out in their numbers to see all the live-action cuteness of Pikachu and friends. However, one group of cinemagoers got a bit of a surprise at the Guzzo Marché Central in Montreal, Canada, and it left kids in tears.

According to reports from Mail Online folks who came out for a Detective Pikachu screening at the Guzzo Marché Central was shown the horror film The Curse Of La Llorona instead after a mix-up. Detective Pikachu is a kid's show while The Curse Of La Llorona is about a  malevolent spirit in a bridal gown that chases and slaughters kids. Viewers knew something wasn't right when they were greeted with scary trailers before the film such as Annabelle Comes Home, The Joker and then Chucky. These trailers alone were enough to get the kids crying!

And if the trailers weren't bad enough, it got even worse when the movie started. The Curse Of La Llorona spares no relief as the film started off with a woman drowning a child in a stream.

I feel sorry for the parents whose kids saw all those horrific visuals because now they aren't going to be able to sleep for days. Let's hope Detective Pikachu was able to make them forget everything that they saw.
