Kevin Feige Has Announced That Black Panther 2 Is Now In The Works

The President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige has confirmed that Ryan Coogler has started working on the sequel of Black Panther.

After Black Panther's record-breaking performance at the box office, Marvel did not spend much time to announce that a sequel will happen. Recently, the studio hinted that Black Panther 2 is inching its way towards production. While promoting 'Spiderman: Far From Home', Kevin Feige was asked about the rumor about Michael B. Jordan returning as Killmonger for Black Panther 2. Hearing this, Feige said that it is completely a rumor and dropped the information about Ryan Coogler.

While talking to BET, Feige said, "The honest answer to that is that is pure rumor and speculation because Mr. Coogler is just only in recent weeks sitting down at his keyboard and beginning to outline the movie. It’s early, so nothing is set yet in any way that far because Mr. Coogler is sitting down and will share it with Nate Moore and myself in the coming weeks."

In January this year, there were a lot of rumors about Michael B. Jordan will be returning for the role of Killmonger for Black Panther 2. It was first started by Angela  Basset who played the mother to T'Challa, and her husband, while attending the SAG Awards. When asked about it, she replied saying, "I would assume so. Everyone will be back, I mean... and maybe they can bring Michael back. "

Courtney B. Vance added, "Yes. Just go ahead and say it. Yes. Everyone will be there. Just yes. Yes. Including Michael B. Yes." The Studios are yet to officially announce that the sequel of Black Panther is coming, but maybe they will announce the news in this month's San Diego Comic-Con since it has been announced that the MCU will be in attendance. Another possibility is that the announcement will be made during August's Disney D23 Expo.

Even though Feige says he is unaware of what Coogler has in store, he also admitted that the studio has "ideas and a pretty solid direction on where we want to head with the second one."
