Here Are All The Superhero Movies Releasing In 2022

If you have enjoyed watching the DC and Marvel superheroes, then there's a lot to look forward to next year.

In 2022, we can expect to see a lot of superhero movies from both Marvel and DC. There will not be a dull moment next year as there are exciting releases almost every month. The superhero genre of movies has gained fame over the years, and the popularity does not seem to be going down anytime soon. 

If you have enjoyed watching the DC and Marvel superheroes saving the world, then there's a lot to look forward to next year. Here are all the superhero movies releasing next year.

1. Morbius - January 28

Based on the Marvel character Morbius, the Living Vampire, biochemist Michael Morbius tries to cure himself of a rare blood disease. But this experiment goes wrong, and he inadvertently infects himself with a form of vampirism instead. It stars Jared Leto as Morbius, alongside Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris, Al Madrigal, and Tyrese Gibson.



 

2. The Batman - March 4

This DC film is the reboot of the Batman film franchise. It stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman, and he is joined by Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell. This film follows Batman uncovering the corruption in Gotham City while also pursuing the Riddler (Dano), a serial killer who targets Gotham's elite.



 

3. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness - March 25

This is the sequel to the 2016 Marvel film Doctor Strange. It stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange, along with Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Xochitl Gomez, and follows the story of how Doctor Strange unleashes an unspeakable evil as he faces a friend-turned-enemy.

4. Thor: Love and Thunder - May 6

This will be the direct sequel to Thor: Ragnarok (2017), starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor, alongside Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Jeff Goldblum, and Vin Diesel. The film is directed by Taika Waititi, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson.



 

5. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - July 8

This is the sequel to the 2018 film starring the late Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa/Black Panther with Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, and Letitia Wright. The sequel will not be replacing Boseman with a new actor but will be following Shuri (Wright), who is T'Challa's younger sister.



 

6. Black Adam - July 29

Based on the DC Comics character of the same name, it is intended to be a spin-off of Shazam! (2019) starring Dwayne Johnson as Teth-Adam or Black Adam alongside Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Sarah Shahi, Quintessa Swindell, and Pierce Brosnan.



 

7. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Part One - October 7

This sequel to the 2018 animated film is going to be an adventure across the multiverse with an older Miles Morales who joins Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People as they are up against a powerful villain. 



 

8. The Flash - November 4

In this DC film, Barry Allen, who is The Flash, travels back in time to prevent his mother's murder. This brings unintended consequences to his timeline. This is based on the comic book storyline Flashpoint. The film stars Ezra Miller as Barry and is joined by Ben Affleck, Michael Keaton, Sasha Calle, Kiersey Clemons, Maribel Verdú, and Ron Livingston.



 

9. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom - December 16

This is a sequel to the 2016 movie Aquaman starring Jason Momoa as the titular Aquaman or Arthur Curry joined by Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. This will be the thirteenth film in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).
