Will Gus and his friends return for a third season of Sweet Tooth? Let's explore.

Sweet Tooth Season 3

Sweet Tooth Season 2 was finally released in April 2023, after many complications during filming in New Zealand due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The highly anticipated new season did not disappoint either, with a stellar 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. But now that the second season is done and dusted, can we expect a third season? Let's explore.

Will There Be Sweet Tooth Season 3?

Yes! Netflix has officially renewed Sweet Tooth for a third and final season. The announcement was made on Netflix's official Twitter page in an adorable video by Christian Convery. Convery exclaimed, "Sweet Tooth is coming back for season 3."

He continued: "We are so excited to share with you the final chapter of Gus's story and we can't wait to tell you all about it."

When Can We Expect Sweet Tooth Season 3?

Netflix has not yet confirmed a release date for Sweet Tooth Season 3. All that we know is that the new season is "coming soon". With this, we can assume that season 3 will drop sometime in late 2024 or early 2025. This is a live article and we will update this space as new information is released.

What Could Be The Plot Of Sweet Tooth Season 3?

Season 2 ended with Gus, Jepp, Becky, and Wendy beginning their journey to find Birdie in Alaska. Season 3 will most likely follow this journey. Showrunner Jim Mickle said: "Season 1 was a journey from Wyoming to Colorado. Now going from Wyoming to Alaska to find his mom, Gus realizes that it isn’t just about being reconnected with family, but it’s actually to help her do what she set out to do, which is save the world from the Sick. Season 2 ends with Gus on the beginning of that journey."
