'Stranger Things' Season 4 Has Already Become The Third Most-Watched Series Of All Time On Netflix

At this rate, the show is well on its way to becoming the most-watched series on the streamer.

Stranger Things Season 4 has been receiving rave reviews following its release on May 27, 2022. The latest season has been called the scariest and goriest season yet. The show has been gaining popularity since the very first season and has been breaking records for viewership as well. With the rise in popularity of the show, the third season of the show has been among the top 10 most viewed English series on Netflix. The fourth season has already made its way to the Top 10 most-watched TV shows well and is currently at the number one spot since it was released.

The fourth season of Stranger Things became Netflix’s biggest ever premiere over the weekend of its premiere with almost 287 million hours viewed in just three days. Now, after a little over a week, the season has gone on to break more Netflix records. It has become the third most-watched season of a show ever on the streamer. Season 4 of Stranger Things is just behind the two seasons of Bridgerton currently. It has recorded a total of 621,800,000 views currently as per the first 28 days of availability. It still has 18 days to move even higher up the chart, according to Variety.

Bridgerton Season 2 is at the number one spot with 656M views and Bridgerton Season 1 is at 625M views currently and Stranger Things is right behind it. At the end of the month, the show is well on its way to becoming the most-watched English series of all time on the streaming site. As for the non-English programming, Stranger Things will be competing with Squid Game which recorded a whopping 1.65 billion hours viewed in the first 28 days, as per Deadline. The second Volume of the fourth season is coming on July 1 and we may see a spike in views leading up to its release as well.



 

With the premiere of the fourth season, the preceding seasons of Stranger Things have reappeared on Netflix's Top 10 chart as well. Season 1 of the sci-fi horror series reappeared in the Top 10 the week before Season 4 was released, and following the release, the second and third seasons made the chart as well. 



 

In the latest season of the show, the Hawkins gang is up against their latest enemy, Vecna, who is preying on traumatized teens in the town. We follow several parallel developments as Eleven struggles with the loss of her powers, Joyce and Murray are doing everything in their power to bring Hopper back, and the Upside Down is more active than ever. The first seven episodes are currently streaming and the current arc will come to a close in the final two episodes set to release in July.
