The Mystery Inc. gang along with Courage, Eustace, and Muriel, come together to get to the bottom of the mystery in the middle of Nowhere.
The most beloved animated dogs from the 90s are making a comeback together in what could only be called a legendary crossover. Scooby-Doo and Courage the Cowardly Dog are setting off on an adventure in Straight Outta Nowhere, the new animated direct-to-video film. Produced by Warner Bros. Everyone's favorite mystery-solving gang finds a mysterious object in the middle of Nowhere, Kansas. The strange object is found on the Bagge farm home to Courage and his owners Eustace and Muriel Bagge. A high-frequency sound hypnotizes both Scooby and Courage who are then attacked by an army of giant cicadas. The Mystery Inc. gang comes to their rescue and is welcomed by Eustace and Muriel, and together they decide to get to the bottom of the mystery. Fred, Velma, Daphne, and Shaggy enlist the help of the doggy duo to piece together the puzzle to defeat the insect army before they take over the world.
The Mystery Gang soon discovers that Nowhere is no stranger to eerie events that keep happening in increased frequency. When they get invited to dinner at the Mayor Mansion, they discover that the high-frequency sound was being generated from there. It hypnotized affluent people to bring their riches to the Bagge farm. Courage overcomes his jitters and consults his all-knowing computer and finds out that the Bagge farm was in the middle of an impact crater caused by one of the most deadly meteors in the history of the planet. The meteor was made up of an unstable substance called dark matter which was the cause of all the strange events that took place in Nowhere.
With the Mystery Gang, Eustace, and Muriel being abducted by the giant cicadas, it is up to Scooby and Courage to solve the mystery. They manage to locate the dark matter meteor located underground and rescue their humans. But as they reach the surface the Queen Cicada attacks them. She uses the power of the meteor to grow into a giant cicada. Courage also uses the power of the meteor to defeat queen cicada and uses it to change back to his original size. The Mystery Gang then manages to find the evil masterminds behind everything. Katz and international thief Le Quack, who had used the mayor and Cicada costume to carry out the heist. They are then handed over to the authorities.
