Ryan Reynolds Reveals That His Local Pizza Place Thinks He's Ben Affleck

Ryan Reynolds is known for being more than just a great actor. He is a well-known jokester who is just as entertaining off-screen as he is onscreen. His antics with his actress wife, Blake Lively are heartwarming to witness especially when they pull each other's legs online. 

For years now, people have wondered if Ryan Reynolds and Ryan Gosling are the same people. Lively even joined the fun one time by sharing a picture of Gosling to wish her husband a happy birthday. We can all see that they look alike and both of them even hail from Canada. But what is a new case of mistaken identity is that people are mistaking Reynolds for yet another famous Hollywood actor.

On a recent appearance on the podcast, Dear Hank & John, Reynolds revealed that he is now being mistaken for Ben Affleck. He shared, "There’s a pizza place in the East Village in New York that I’ve been going to for years. They believe I’m Ben Affleck and I’ve never corrected them. I feel it would not go over well if I revealed." Being true to the funny man that he is, he has decided to just go with it. 

He went on to explain, "I do everything normal like everybody else. They just think I’m Ben Affleck and they’ll ask how JLo is and I’m like, 'great, good.' I get the pizza and off I go." The 45-year-old does not seem to have any intentions of clearing up this hilarious mix-up. Just when people were getting around the fact that Gosling and he don't actually have such an uncanny resemblance, he is now being compared to and mistaken for another actor. But when it comes to telling the difference between Reynolds and Gosling, it is actually easier to do than trying to tell the difference between Affleck and Reynolds.

Reynolds had an answer for it himself. On the podcast, he said, "Years ago, I used to play fast and a little loose more on Twitter. These days, I'm a little bit more reserved." He recalled the time he shared the difference between himself and Gosling, "I said, 'Well the difference is easy to spot. Ryan Gosling has blond hair and Ryan Reynolds is a s***." Being the ever-charming self that he is, he even praised his first doppelganger for his performance in The Notebook stating that the right Ryan was chosen to do the part and humbly added that if he was chosen instead it may not have been so popular, as per E! Online. 

As for the similarities he has with two of the biggest stars in Hollywood, Reynolds knows how to be a good sport about it while he is no less famous himself. He has been making quite the wave with his hit films, the action-comedy Free Guy and heist-comedy Red Notice. He has bigger projects coming in 2022 that should stop people from mistaking him for somebody else.
