'Pretty Smart' is about a young woman named Chelsea, a Harvard-educated aspiring novelist, who moves in with her sister Claire in Los Angeles after her boyfriend dumps her.

According to various news outlets, Pretty Smart has been canceled and won't be returning for a second season.
If the show had gotten renewed for another season, we could have expected it to pick up from the events of season 1.
We expected season 2 to delve into the ongoing love triangle between Claire, Grant, and Chelsea. A fierce love triangle is already cooking after Claire breaks up with Dave and kisses her ex, Grant. Grant is currently dating Claire’s sister, Chelsea.
Although Chelsea did not catch them kissing, things got awkward when she wanted to open up to Claire about her budding romance with Grant.
If the show had gotten renewed for season 2, we could have expected the lead cast members to return. Emily Osment to return as Chelsea, Olivia Macklin as Claire, Cinthya Carmona as Solana, and Michael Hsu Rosen as Jayden.
