‘Nodame Cantabile’ Season 4: Everything We Know So Far

Based on the bestselling manga ‘Nodame Cantabile‘, this TV show goes by the same title and is written by Ninomiya Tomoko. The source material performed pretty well, but the anime performed much better and eventually won everyone’s hearts. Animes like ‘Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood‘ fans displayed an impressively positive reaction after seeing how beautifully the anime stay loyal to the manga and give it a whole new story. There are several cases as well, where if an anime is adapted from a pretty good manga, the TV series of the anime automatically turns out to be good. Then there are some cases when the anime is just way ahead of the manga. ‘Nodame Cantabile’ comes under the anime, which is just way ahead of the manga. One of the big reasons for it being better than its source material is the music in it.

Not just the music, but the characters built in the anime is another aspect that’s highly impressive. The anime series presents an entirely different approach to romantic relationships, which is more whimsical rather than a typical approach towards relationships. The lead characters also have their flaws and darkest secrets, which not only celebrates their imperfection but also shows the vibrant side of their complex personalities. ‘Nodame Cantabile’ is a unique high school romantic anime show that is relatable and hard-hitting. Fans have fallen in love with this anime series and are eager to know when they can see the fourth season after they have religiously followed the three-seasons of ‘Nodame Cantabile’. So, let’s find out everything we can about the upcoming fourth season.

The first season of ‘Nodame Cantabile’ came on January 12, 2007, and continued till June 15, 2007, showing 23 episodes. The first season grabbed the attention of many viewers and became a hit, leading in the birth of another season, which was titled ‘Nodame Cantabile: Paris-hen’, that came on October 10, 2008, and went on till December 19, 2008. Before the finale, an exclusive ‘DVD-only’ version of the anime was released on April 7, 2010, and soon season 3 made it to the screen with 11 episodes on January 15, 2010. For a while, fans thought that it was the end of the franchise. However, they didn’t stop there. A few days after the finale on April 26, 2010, a final OVA was released, which was an anime-original story written by Ninomiya Tomoko, which shows the story between the events of the finale and the second season.

Fans wanted to see more of it, but unfortunately, the road always ends somewhere, and so did this show. The epic musical and romantic journey has ended with a clear and satisfactory conclusion that leaves no scope for any renewal. We can surely expect a spin-off series of the anime, but about the possibilities, we cannot say anything about it. Fans can enjoy the three seasons along with exclusive ones until there is any development in the making of its spin-off.

The story revolves around a first-class musician whose name is Shinichi Chiaki. He dreams of playing music with the top musicians of Europe. He belongs to a family of perfectionists and takes his musical talent way too seriously. He is not only critical of his own talent, but he looks at other musicians with his judgemental eyes. But one thing that he is terrified of, is flying. His phobia is pretty much the only reason that stops him from going to Europe to make his dreams come true. He ends up being admitted to the most well-known school in Japan, and during his time in the school, he stumbles upon Megumi Noda, who he calls ‘Nodame’. Looking at her, Nodame looks like one of those girls who leave the impression of an unorganized and unkempt girl and someone who has no motive and zeal in her life. Things, however, change when Shinichi hears her playing the piano for the very time. He is mesmerized by the symphony and the music that she makes. Things change even more when Shinichi realizes that she is his neighbor and that she has secretly loved him for the longest time.
