We still don't know if Alicia has a change of heart and is now on the Professor's side.
Part 1 also brings some seriously fascinating insights into Tokyo's life before she joins The Professor. Throughout the season, flashbacks give us details about her former lover and crime partner, René.
As the series ended, we watched the army finally break into the bank. Tokyo sacrifices herself to save the others.
In a legendary, adrenaline-fuelled scene, she stands her ground as the army closes in to attack her.
Gandía, Sagasta, and the majority of the Special Force personnel shoot at Tokyo. When she falls, Gandia goes near her and flips her body. To his surprise, Tokyo is still alive and she managed to unpin all the grenades strapped to her chest. The grenades exploded, killing Gandia and everyone else in the room.
The remaining 5 episodes will explore the impact of Tokyo's death on the ongoing heist. We all thought that Tokyo has a plot armor because she is the narrator of the series. However, the first half of part 5 took us all by surprise.
We can expect that Tokyo's role will be remarkably less in Volume 2, since the terrible death of Tokyo in Volume 1.
She still might appear in the crime show's final season because Money Heist likes to use flashbacks.
Since she was the narrator for the Spanish crime series, her death leaves a big question to be answered. Is there another narrator, or will she still narrate from beyond the grave?
