Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt Slammed For Looking 'Photoshopped' In 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood' Poster

The star-studded ensemble cast also includes Margot Robbie essaying the role of Sharon Tate, who was murdered by the Manson family in 1969.

When two of Hollywood's biggest actors come together for a movie, the excitement level among fans are at an all-time high. However, when Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt unveiled the much-awaited poster for their upcoming movie, ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’, the last thing the makers would have expected was a photoshop blunder, reports Fox News

Social media was buzzing when the poster was released on March 18. But what really took the center stage were the fans ripping into the poster which has both DiCaprio and Pitt, albeit looking matinee-worthy handsome.

DiCaprio can be seen leaning against a wall with his hand crossed. Sporting a brown leather jacket, he gazes into the oblivion while Pitt embraces the California Love with his yellow-collar shirt, tucked over a white T-shirt and dark blue jeans.

DiCaprio revealed the poster with the brief tweet, “Hollywood. 1969. #OnceUponATimeInHollywood.” The movie, directed by Quentin Tarantino, will be his ninth directorial venture among the many iconic movies in his credits. Apart from directing it, Tarantino is also writing and producing the movie, which has us pretty excited, thanks to its noir-esque representation of Hollywood.

If you thought the trio of DiCaprio-Pitt-Tarantino is all you need for a movie to produce its magic, it doesn't end there. The star-studded ensemble cast also includes Margot Robbie essaying the role of Sharon Tate, who was murdered by the Manson family in 1969. Tate was the most high-profile victim of Charles Manson's infamous killing spree.

Other cast members include Al Pacino, Emile Hirsch, Damian Lewis, Bruce Dern, Dakota Fanning, Lena Dunham, James Marsden, Scoot McNairy, Timothy Olyphant, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, James Remar, Brenda Vaccaro, and Kurt Russell.

Fans of 90210 and Riverdale, who are still mourning the loss of the iconic actor Luke Perry, who died on March 4, will get to see him perform one last time with his appearance in the movie.

Leonardo DiCaprio will be playing the role of a fictional actor Rick Dalton while Brad Pitt plays his fictional stuntman, Cliff Booth. Labeling them as “the most exciting dynamic star duo since Paul Newman and Robert Redford,” Quentin Tarantino has set the bar quite high when it comes to the craft of film making with his two actors.

The movie follows the journey of the two as they go through Hollywood and Los Angeles during the times of the infamous Charles Manson murders.

As much as we are looking forward to seeing Tarantino paint a retro dream with his upcoming flick, the new poster has been on the receiving end of quite a few criticisms, thanks to the alleged 'photoshopped' look of the two actors. One person tweeted, “Remember when REAL artist would paint real works of art for posters… Sigh, I mean I am still excited as hell for this movie but this poster is lame as f---!”

While another social media user took a hilarious approach to slam the poster saying, "Pitt looks photoshopped" and it seems as if his face was fixed over Matthew McConaughey’s body.

Although criticisms are inevitable, there were quite a few fans who are still looking forward to the Tarantino directorial considering this will be his return to the screens, four years after 'The Hateful Eight' was released in 2015.

“Can’t wait,” one person said. “I was in Hollywood when this was being filmed. Too cool. Not a great poster though.” Another social media user wrote, “Anoter (sic) epic movie no doubt about it.”

Meanwhile, Scoot McNairy, who plays Business Bob Gilbert in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, spoke to Collider on how Tarantino weaved his magic while shooting the movie.

"All of Quentin’s movies, I feel, are so different, in so many ways, but they’re all so great because they’re done by such a great filmmaker. I think this one definitely stands alone, within his expertise of making movies. Honestly, the experience on set was so great and so fascinating to me that what I got most out of it was the time that I was able to spend there, working with all them, and working with this tight knit crew," he said.

"It was just great. I wish all movies were made the way that Quentin makes them. There’s a certain spirit on set, where everybody there wants to be there, and is excited to be there, and they love what they’re doing, and they’re excited about the project. That’s just really contagious. Also, his process and the way that he does it, I’ve never been on a set like that in my life," he concluded.
