Keanu Reeves Responds To The Internet's Obsession With Him

Everyone is currently obsessed with John Wick star Keanu Reeves. He has several videos on Youtube posted about him with titles like "why is Keanu Reeves the nicest person ever?". He is basically on everyone's dream cast list from Wolverine to Marvel's Eternals. His John Wick movies do extremely well and each chapter does better than the last. And not to mention that even at 54 years old Keanu Reeves is still a complete heartthrob.

Keanu Reeves is also all that you could want in an actor. He has proven his action acting skills in movies like 'John Wick' and 'The Matrix'.  He has shown us his comedic skill in recent movies like 'Always Be My Maybe' and has also shown us his inner kid in movies like 'Toy Story 4'. It seems like all his recent movies across this diverse array of genres in addition to all the superhero movie rumors and the promise of a new Bill and Ted movie are fueling the obsessive mania around this actor.

And if you think Keanu just lights up the big screen and streaming site well you would be very wrong. Keanu Reeves made a super cool announcement at the E3 2019 Microsoft press conference on June 6. Reeves announced that he was entering the gaming world and was going to be Johnny Silverhand in a new game called Cyberpunk 2077 which is going to be released in April 2020.

Some people must be thinking that the reason the internet is obsessed with Keanu Reeves is because he is in every movie lately or because he's talented or even because he's a super handsome guy. But I personally think any of those statements will be kinda super wrong. I think the reason the people of the internet and the world by extension love Keanu Reeves is that despite all that he has achieved he is and always has been respectable, giving and humble guy.

But anyone can make bold statements and give celebrities compliments without providing any or even much evidence. However, this would never be the case with Keanu. And he has done more selfless and kind acts that anyone can state. Stuff like quietly financing children's hospitals and other innumerable worthwhile causes. In fact, he gave 80 million of his $114 million dollar earnings from the Matrix sequels. Even though it seems like $114 million dollars is a lot of money Keanu could have made even more but decided to leave money on the table so the special effects and costume departments which allowed for great staffs and a higher level of creative achievements. He also took significant pay cuts several times so other actors could be hired for projects.

Keanu Reeves had this to say in an interview with ET at the premiere of Toy Story 4.

It’s been really nice and special for me. Just how well the John Wick film was received and then also recently with Always Be My Maybe and then being connected with CD Projekt Red. I’ve just had the chance to be working with really cool people and be a part of really cool projects. And so to be here with Toy Story 4 is a lot of fun. It’s nice when it’s nice.

When EW told Reeves that he was everyone's 'internet boyfriend' he had this to say:

I’ve been what? I didn’t know that… That’s wacky. The positivity is great. It’s really special how [Always Be My Maybe and John Wick 3] have been embraced.
