Jungle Cruise Dominates The Weekend Box Office With $34.1M

Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt took the world for a wild ride through the Amazon this weekend in search of the tree of life and made BIG bucks in the process!

Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt came out on top this weekend with their movie Jungle Cruise. The adventure film sailed past the competition with a domestic box office haul of $34.1M.

Jungle Cruise also went on to gross $27.6 in the international box office and $30 million from Disney+ Premiere Access purchases over the weekend.

With a total haul of $91.8 million, Jungle Cruise has become the biggest family movie opening since the pandemic started.

The film follows the adventures of Dr. Lily Houghton and skipper Frank Wolff as they go on an adventure to find an ancient tree with the power to heal and change the future of medicine forever. The film was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and stars Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Jack Whitehall, Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti.

The Green Knight came in at second in the box office with a debut haul of $6.76 million. And, in third place is M. Night Shyamalan's Old with a haul of $6.74 million

Then we got Black Widow at fourth place with $6.4 million, Stillwater at 5th with $5.1 million, Space Jam: A New Legacy at 6th with $4.2 million, Snake Eyes at 7th with $4 million, F9 dropped to 8th with $2.6 million, Escape Room: Tournament of Champions hauled $2.2 million for 9th place, then in the 10th place is The Boss Baby: The Family Business with $1.3 million.
