Jennifer Coolidge gave a heart warming speech during this year's SAG Awards where she bagged yet another award for her leading role as Tanya McQuoid in White Lotus. The actress shared a sweet anecdote from when she was a young lady and she also took the opportunity to thank her parents for introducing her to the world of films. The actress bagged the award in the category of Leading actor in a drama series.“It's been a very special year, and it’s overwhelming,” Coolidge, 61, said while accepting the honor. “I am just so grateful, so grateful.”

Coolidge shared a memory from her adolescence and said that those days shaped her love for cinema for the rest of her life. “I got in the car with my dad,” she narrated. “He said, ‘I’m never going to tell a lie again, but we’re going somewhere really cool.’ And he drove me to the Charlie Chaplin Film Festival.”

“I swear to God, seeing Charlie Chaplin for the first time and having that experience…as my love of film, as my love of actors, all of that came from my first grade.”

She also shared another anecdote about her date and also a friend actor Tim Bagley. “You're a wonderful date tonight,” she said. “I can't wait until we get home.” she exclaimed.

This is not the first time she took the room by surprise with her amazing speech. The actress took home a primetime Emmy and also a Golden Globe recently.

After winning her Golden Globe this year she reflected on her decades long career in Hollywood. “There were like five people that kept me going for 20 years with these little jobs,” Coolidge said. “I didn't know anybody. It was sort of this thing that wasn't going anywhere.”

“I just want you all to know that I had such big dreams and expectations as a younger person, but what happened was they get sort of fizzled by life,” she refllected. “I thought I was going to be Queen of Monaco, even though someone else did it ... I just want to say, Mike White, you have given me hope. You have given me a new beginning.”

Here's hoping that we see her in diverse roles more often as the world definitely needs more of her acting. It seems that her speeches has become another thing she will be known for in the future apart from her acting, duh!
