Jennifer Aniston now holds the record for the fastest person to hit a million followers on Instagram.
When you think of people who are Instagram famous, you usually think of Kylie Jenner or Selena Gomez. Jennifer Aniston is the last person who comes to mind. As a matter of fact, Jennifer Aniston did not even own an Instagram account. But the Friends star made her debut on the platform yesterday with a Friends reunion picture and it completely destroyed the internet.
In just five hours and 16 minutes, Aniston was able to garner 1 million followers on Instagram, setting a new Guinness World Record.
The Instagram post shows the whole gang from our favorite Sitcom and as of right now the post amassed a whopping 11 million likes and Aniston now has 9.7 million followers. Who knew Jennifer Aniston was still so popular.
The record for the fastest person to hit a million followers was recently held by the royal couple Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with the Instagram account @sussexroyal. The royal account was created in April and managed to hit a million followers in five hours and 45 minutes.
Before the royal couple, the record was held by K-Pop star Kang Daniel who got to the landmark of a million followers in 11 hours and 36 minutes.
At the moment, we have no idea why the cast of Friends decided to reunite. We can only hope that a Friends movie is in the works. This will indeed be good news but Jennifer Aniston has assured fans that a Friends movie is definitely off the table. However, we can also consider the fact that Will Smith did say that a Fresh Prince reboot will never happen but it is now happening. So maybe a Friends movie may become a reality real soon.
