She meets a selfless psychiatric ward worker who is taking care of his brother with autism.
The Kdrama series was released on Netflix in 2020 and was named one of "The Best International Shows of 2020" by The New York Times. It won 2 awards (Best Supporting Actor – Television and Technical Award for costume design) in the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards and received an Emmy nomination.

While we are used to American shows getting multiple seasons, that is not usually the case for Korean drama series. Most Kdrama shows have a one-and-done setup. They would plan stories for only one season and would no longer renew them no matter how popular they get. Creators and cast will be thankful to fans for the support, but they wouldn't sacrifice the story for monetary gains. We won't be surprised if 'It's Okay to Not Be Okay' will follow the same principle.
The first season tied the plot pretty nicely. We doubt that the second season would live up to fans' expectations if it ever gets renewed.
'It's Okay to Not Be Okay' premiered on tvN and Netflix on June 20, 2020. The series aired a total of 16 episodes, which concluded on August 9, 2020.
'It's Okay to Not Be Okay' Season 2 is not confirmed yet, and might no longer get renewed at all. Hence, there is no release date available.
'It's Okay to Not Be Okay' chronicled the relationship between Ko Moon-young, a female children's book author, and two orphaned brothers Moon Sang-tae and Moon Gang-tae. The three developed a meaningful relationship and found comfort in each other.
However, their bond gets tested after it gets revealed that Moon-young's mother killed the orphaned brother's mother. The brothers eventually get justice as she goes to prison before the series ended.
Much of the first season's narrative wrapped nicely by the end of the first season. In an unlikely event that the Kdrama series gets renewed for another season, the show could explore the character's healing process. We might see Moon-young reconnect with her mother in prison.
The lead cast members will likely return if 'It's Okay to Not Be Okay' will get renewed for another season.
That means we will see the return of Kim Soo-hyun as Moon Gang-tae, Oh Jung-se as Moon Sang-tae, and Seo Ye-ji as the show's heroine, Ko Moon-young.
