‘Love 101’ Season 3: Everything We Know So Far

Love 101 (or Aşk 101) is a Turkish teen drama on Netflix set in 1998. It follows a group of four misfits and a model student at school who try to make their favorite teacher fall in love with their basketball coach so she could continue to stay in the same town. To bring this plan into action, the five of them forge a friendship and find the courage to be themselves. It is a coming-of-age story that is simple but memorable. The first season of the show had eight episodes that captured the hearts of the world. It was then renewed for another season. The second season premiered on 30 September 2021. After the first season was left on a cliffhanger, with the gang out of sorts, the second season gave us answers to a lot of unanswered questions.

Love 101‘ Season 2 Plot Synopsis

The second season also had eight episodes and has a runtime of 40-50 minutes. The actors reprise their roles in the second season as well. While the first season involved the blossoming of love between the teachers, Burcu (Pınar Deniz) and Kemal (Kaan Urgancıoğlu,) the second season deals with rising friction in their relationship especially after they figured out how their falling in love was staged by their students.

The students Mert Yazıcıoğlu as Sinan, Kubilay Aka as Kerem, Alina Boz as Eda, Selahattin Paşalı as Osman, İpek Filiz Yazıcı as Isik, who were on the line for expulsion in the first season have managed not to get expelled yet. But Isik is in for a shock when she learns about how her friends have been lying to her about their prospects at school. The school’s tyrant principal threatens Isik with expulsion if any of her friends mess up. An upset Isik takes drastic action and ultimately gets expelled. The rest of the gang spend the second season trying to find a way to get Isik reinstated.

Love 101‘ Season 3: Renewed or Cancelled?

The second season was charged with emotions as teens came to terms with themselves. However, the show will not be coming back for another season. This will be clear when you watch the second season because the stories of all the characters were wrapped up perfectly. They were all given a good conclusion which can even be said to be satisfactory. The story comes full circle as the five of them are reminiscing their days as teenagers at their old hangout spot. This means the show has no scope for another season. The cast has also shared several pictures and videos and has explicitly mentioned that it is the last season of the show, as per The Cinemaholic. At Netflix’s premiere party for the second season of ‘Love 101,’ the cast and crew also talked about their wonderful experience on set. They even shared how they had forged lasting friendships and would miss the show that had brought them all together.

While the heartwarming series has come to an end, there are other coming-of-age teen drama shows like Sex Education, Derry Girls, On My Block, and Never Have I Ever, that you can watch on Netflix.
