The Spanish reality show kept its contestants in the dark. Will there be season 2?
There are plenty of reality shows on Netflix, but the Spanish series 'Insiders' found a way to stand out with its unique concept. Unlike other reality series, contestants in the 'Insiders' have no idea that they are already part of the show.
'Insiders' received praises for its concept, outstanding music, and straightforward flow. Each episode runs for less than an hour, which critics admired even more. Plus, Najwa Nimri (Money Heist's Alicia Sierra) hosted the series, making it even more captivating.
Now the question is, will we see a second season of the show?
Here is what we know.
The first season of 'Insiders' was released on Netflix on October 21, 2021, with seven episodes. There have been plenty of speculations about whether the show will return for more or not. The good news is that a second season is surely happening in the future!
During the 2021 Vitoria FesTVal, Netflix Spain’s director of non-fiction content, Alvaro Diaz, announced that they had finished filming the second season. We do not know when exactly it is coming out yet, but you can rest assured that we will update this space once the release date gets announced.
The second season will most likely stick to the show's premise while offering something new for fans to enjoy.
The first season follows 13 contestants who thought they were on the final stage of the casting for a reality show. Unknown to them, they are already in the show and the cameras have already started rolling. Their morals get tested, and they are put under pressure. At the end of the series, the winner takes home a €100,000 prize.
We can't wait to see what the show makers have in store for us in season 2.
Najwa Nimri hosted the first season, and we are hoping for her return for season 2. As for the participants, we will likely see a fresh batch. We do not have the official casting yet but stay tuned because we will update this space once we know more.
