The star of Netflix's newest hit series, 'The One' started her acting career a little late, but she's already landed big roles even before she graduated from film school.

Hannah Ware is the lead star of Netflix's newest hit, 'The One'. She stars as the intelligent but ruthless and reckless CEO of The One, a dating agency that matches people with their perfect partners using DNA.

The futuristic sci-fi series is currently making waves on the streaming giant worldwide, and some fans can't help but wonder who Hannah is in real life, including why she looks familiar.

Hannah is 38 years old. She is born in Hammersmith on 8 December 1982 and raised in Clapham.

1. She Is The Older Sister Of Pop Star Jessie Ware

Yup! The last name is not just a coincidence. Jessie and Hannah Ware are truly blood-related. Their father was the BBC Panorama newsman John Ware.

The two are incredibly close, and their bond gets even stronger through music. She told Marie Claire back in 2015 that she even helped her sister pick the right songs for her wedding.

"My sister, singer Jessie Ware, and I are always exchanging music. We brainstormed her wedding playlist for months."

Of course, just like normal sisters, the two had a few physical fights during childhood over petty matters. We'll discuss this more as we go through the list. 

2. She Is Fearless

Hannah Ware is not afraid of "physical things". In a 2015 interview with USA Today, the actress shared how she enjoys activities like high dives at the local pool, while her sister, Jessie, refuses to participate in such.

"But I was like, 'Get me to the highest one and let me jump off,' " says Ware. "I hate missing out."

3. She Stared In 'Hitman: Agent 47'

Among Hannah's biggest projects to date is the 2015 action film 'Hitman: Agent 47'. She plays Katia van Dee, aka Agent 9.

Hannah auditioned three years for the film, which was delayed after Paul Walker (who was set to play Agent 47), died in 2013.

Hanna fought against various front-runners for the role and was fearless during the final audition."

It was was like, 'This is what I've got, this is what I can bring,' and I got it," Hannah said in the same interview above. "It wasn't an easy ride."

4. She Was Not In 'Shame'

The actress' often gets questions about her IMDb-listed role in 'Shame', a steamy, psychological erotic drama film released in 2011.

Hannah clarifies that she is not actually in the film, though her bare bottom had a minor appearance.

"I'm not in Shame," says Ware. "I walk into a building and it's just my behind. You don't see me. It was surprisingly easy. I just had to walk through a door.

5. She'd Rather "Drink Bleach" Than Sing Live

Hannah may love music, but that doesn't mean she's comfortable singing in public. When asked during a QandA with Bustle about her thoughts on a Go-to karaoke song, the actress answered:

"Would rather drink bleach than sing live."

6. She Went To The Same School Where Alec Baldwin, Marilyn Monroe, and other Hollywood A-listers trained

Hannah went to Alleyn's School in Dulwich and then went to Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York, where she studied acting. Some of the notable alumni of the school are:

Alec Baldwin, Angelina Jolie, Marilyn Monroe, Scarlett Johannsen, and Lady Gaga, among others.

7. She Played an Astronaut in 'The First'

Hannah played Sadie Hewitt, one of five astronauts chosen to be the first people to visit Mars, in the drama series 'The First'. The series was co-produced by American streaming service Hulu and British television network Channel 4. It debuted on 14 September 2018, in the United States, and on 1 November 2018, in the United Kingdom. The series was canceled just after 1 season. 

8. She Was Still Studying When She Landed Her Role In 'Boss' 

Hannah was still studying when she landed the role Emma Kane in the political drama series, 'Boss'. 

In an interview shared by the school's website, Hannah opened up about how she managed to land her first big TV role:

"I was still at school. I was studying in the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York. I had just recently gotten a manager, and he was sending out a lot of stuff, and I got that appointment. I connected with the role immediately, and I was excited by the people involved. After the audition, I thought it had gone well. But when it’s a project that’s quite high profile, and you’re nobody, they usually go with a name or someone slightly more experienced, unless you’re really good. So, it was amazing that I got the role."

9. She Got Into Acting Late

In the same interview, the actress admits that she was a late bloomer when it comes to acting. She was 26 went she went to her first acting class. She's naturally shy and is quite private. 

"I think part of what acting did for me is it kind of represents all my greatest fears. I’m sort of compelled to do it, but at at the same time, it’s so frightening. But I think that the things that frighten me the most in life are the things I should be doing. Acting is the only thing that really sort of clicks for me."

Despite her success, the actress continues to keep most of her personal life private. Her Instagram account was only created this February 2021, presumably to promote her Netflix series, 'The One'. She only has 5 posts on the platform so far. 

10. She Knocked Out Her Sister's Front Tooth When She Was Young

Hannah once knocked her sister Jessie's front tooth when they were young during an epic battle that escalated from a simple splashing.

In the Table Manner podcast hosted by her mom Lennie, and her sister Jessie, Hannah shared about that time when she did something awful to her younger sister.

She said that she was brushing her teeth while Jessie was taking a bath. Her younger sister kept splashing water at her, despite Hannah asking her to stop. Annoyed, Hannah smashed her younger sister's head in the bath and knocked her front tooth out. The two have since reconciled and only laugh whenever they talk about the incident.
