The video went viral for the second time and fans just can't believe that they never spotted this before...
TikTok has once again brought a video of Gossip Girl Malfunction to the limelight. The moment in question involved none other than Serena Woodsen played by Blake Lively. The scene is set during lunch where we see Serena wearing a bodycon orange dress and is seen with Dan Humphrey. We initially get to see her full look but then the camera cuts to an angle where we see Blake checking her phone and holding a bag, and there it is, we can see that she is wearing black sweats underneath. The video is currently making rounds for the second time as it first went viral in late 2020. When the video first caught the eye of the netizens one commenter wrote, "LOL, I worked on set, it’s because she ripped her dress.” But honestly, the cast was papped while filming a lot, and Blake wearing sweats and Uggs under her dress wasn’t unheard of"
“How did that make it into the shot lmao,” one person commented.
“I’ve watched this a zillion times and never noticed this,” another said.
“They got real lazy during that last season lol,” someone said.
“Serena would actually do this,” one user wrote.
“It’s giving Zoom call outfit,” another said.
The show ran from 2007 to 2012 and recently ended up getting a reboot treatment with the new Gossip Girl on HBO Max but that show ended up being canceled! Sad!
Blake Lively has also publicly said that she hated her character in Gossip Girl, so it's no surprise that she ended up wearing sweatpants beneath a gorgeous dress! "People loved it, but it always felt a little personally compromising — you want to be putting a better message out there," Lively said in the same Allure interview.
Other news about Blake Lively, other than the fact that she will be seen opposite Justin Baldoni in 'It Ends With Us', is that she will be starring alongside Anna Kendrick for a sequel to A Simple Favor, which is in production right now. Apparently, everybody who was a part of the first movie is reprising their roles in this one, Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Linda Cardellini, Dustin Milligan, and Jean Smart) will be back for this movie, while Paul Feig is coming back to direct.
Anna Kendrick told E! News, “I’ve actually read the script now, and it’s so good,” adding that her character “got like a little bit savvier in her, [but] she’s still Stephanie at the end of the day.”
