"Fourth wall break inside of a fourth wall break? That's like... 16 walls!" Deadpool never misses, especially when it comes to snarky one-liners. Now, the red and black clad character is set to make his appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It will be exciting to see Wade Wilson break a scene when there is a life-threatening situation. With Ryan Reynolds starting to train for the character, this may be happening sooner than we thought, ComicBook.com confirms.

Reynolds' trainer Don Saladino has worked with many actors and celebrities to reach their physical goals for different projects. He recently posted a picture on his Instagram with the Deadpool actor. The caption on the image reads, “🔴 ⚔️ and so it begins… #suitupwithdon” And with this, the process of Deadpool has officially begun (or at least the rumblings of it). While Marvel Studios hadn’t announced any Deadpool-related projects during the Hall H panel at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), fans expect leader Kevin Feige to elaborate on Deadpool’s role in the future phases of the Multiverse Saga.

Alternately, it is quite possible that Deadpool 3 is not happening soon, but Reynolds is preparing to make an appearance in one of the many announced projects about to come for the MCU. For the third installment of Deadpool, Reynolds will be working with director Shawn Levy, whom he has collaborated with on films like Free Guy and The Adam Project, and writing team Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick returning from the first two Deadpool films. The preparation for filming started in June 2022. An open slot for February 16, 2024, is rumored to be reserved for the third Deadpool film.

Reynolds used the Free Guy promotion to essentially announce his recruitment into the MCU, with a short film showing Deadpool and Korg (Taika Waititi) reacting to the trailer of Free Guy. In January 2021, Feige confirmed that Deadpool 3 would be MCU cannon in R-rating, according to Collider. In fact, this year, Disney+ added Deadpool, Deadpool 2, and Logan as the first of many R-rated films on the platform.

At that time, Feige had said, “It will be rated R and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan’s overseeing a script right now… It will not be [filming] this year. Ryan is a very busy, very successful actor. We’ve got a number of things we’ve already announced that we now have to make, but it’s exciting for it to have begun.” Adding to that, he mentioned, “Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, which is just awesome to see him bring that character to life.”

Audience can keep their eyes peeled for more Deadpool news as the D23 Expo will kick off from September 9, 2022, in Anaheim, California.
