Renewal Status: Pending/Unofficially Renewed
Anime production giant MAPPA Studios, who brought us the iconic Attack On Titan and Jujutsu Kaisen, hasn’t announced an official release date for a second season. But fans speculate that a second season is inevitable since the first season has been experiencing high ratings with a successful run so far. A reliable anime news leaker named Jaymes Hanson claims that Chainsaw Man Season 2 is already in its pre-production stage. However, the production studio MAPPA hasn’t confirmed any dates. Rest assured, Crunchyroll is distributing the first season and is expected to air the potential second season as well.

Chainsaw Man starts with 16-year-old Denji's touching story as he struggles to pay the debts left behind by his dead father. Yakuzas regularly harass him for money, and he is left with no choice but to work to his bones and even sell some of his organs for money. One day, Denji encounters a devil in the form of a small dog with a chainsaw blade sticking out of his head. Denji ends up making a pact with the devil he names Pochita, and in exchange for drinking Denji's blood, Pochita aids Denji to become a devil hunter for the yakuza. But Denji and Pochita's fates dramatically change when they fall victim to a trap set by the Zombie Devil. In a cataclysmic turn of events, Pochita merges with Denji's body, gives him a new life, and Denji becomes the titular Chainsaw Man every soul fears.
Newcomer Kikunosuke Toya is the voice actor behind Denji, Tomori Kusunoki, known for Wonder Egg Priority, voices Makima, Aki Hayakawa is voiced by Shogo Sakata, and Power is voiced by Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean fame, Fairouz Ai. Chainsaw Man Season 1 is directed by Ryu Nakayama and is produced by Studio Mappa.
Chainsaw Man Season 2 is expected to continue the manga's story from the first volume, and the second season will introduce us to the Bomb Devil. Denji faces off against his new nemesis in the Bomb Girl Arc, followed by animating International Assassins' Arc, Gun Devil Arc, and concludes with Control Devil Arc. As per rumors on the internet, the Bomb Girl story might get an anime movie adaptation instead.
