Baki's off to bigger fights after dominating the Raitai tournament. Will Baki succumb to the same darkness that consumed his father?
This article was recently reviewed and is up to date as of February 5, 2021.
Baki is one of Netflix's most popular anime series, thanks to its intense fight scenes, overarching plot, and gritty animation. Baki is based on a popular manga series written and illustrated by Keisuke Itagaki. The anime franchise has long been famous even before it landed on Netflix.
Part 3 of the series released on the streaming platform in June 2020. Are more episodes still coming?
Let's find out.
Before we continue, allow us to first discuss why we're calling it Baki Part 4 instead of season 4.
Baki currently has 2 seasons only. Baki Season 1 contains 26 episodes split into two parts (part 1 and 2), with 13 episodes each.
Season 2 (part 3) released on June 4, 2020, with only 13 episodes. The remaining half (part 4) is still due for release.
There are no official announcements yet but there's a huge possibility that part 4 will be here in the next few months if we base on season 1's timeline.
Season one broadcasted weekly in Japan from June 25th, 2018 to December 16th, 2018. Netflix then brought the series to the global audience on December 18 that year.
If things run smoothly as scheduled, then we can expect part 4 to be here soon.
We'll update this space once we get new information.
Baki is an action-packed anime that tells the story of Baki Hanma, a young martial-arts prodigy with a dysfunctional relationship with his father, Yujiro.
Baki's ultimate goal is to be strong enough to defeat his father, who is considered the world's strongest man alive. In order to do this, Baki trains rigorously, day and night, fighting death row inmates, martial arts masters, and anything in between.
While fans first saw kind-hearted Baki in the beginning, the latest episodes on Netflix have shown us a darker side of the young fighter.
In Part 3, Baki enters the illustrious Raitai tournament. At the beginning of the season, he was poisoned by Ryuko Yanagi, aka the Poison Hand. Thanks to Kozue who remained by his side, Baki was able to withstand the poison and ultimately won the tournament in succeeding episodes.
While Baki's wins are highly celebrated, fans couldn't help but be wary of a darker personality that's brewing within Baki. Will he be embracing darkness like his father Yujiro did?
Part 3 was already filled with pulse-racing scenes, but things are still peaking up. Expect more intense episodes in part 4 as Baki and his father will finally face off.
Plus, the death row inmates are escaping from their cells once again. What will be their role in the upcoming fight of the century? Will they help Yujiro defeat Baki? Or will they just be spectators? We can't wait for part 4 to get answers.
Yes! You can now watch Baki on Netflix with English dub with the same voice cast as the previous season. The English dub was a little delayed because the production was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. It took 24 days before Netflix was able to upload the English dub on June 28, 2020.
If you haven't watched the series yet cause you're waiting for the English dub, then this is the perfect time to head over to Netflix.
