An Addams Family TV reboot is reportedly currently in the works from Tim Burton at the helm.

According to Deadline, Burton is reportedly in negotiations to executive produce the series as well as direct all the episodes.

Currently, MGM is financing the series, but reports are saying that there are lots of buyers lining up to buy the project.

Netflix is reported to be leading in the bidding wars, but they have yet to secure the deal.

It is unclear what will happen in the series, but sources told Deadline that it would revolve around the family in the present. It is said to mainly focus on Wednesday Addams and her life in 2020.

The Addams Family was first brought to life by American cartoonist Charles Addams in 1938. Since then, there was a 1960s sitcom and two live-action movies: 1991’s The Addams Family and 1993’s Addams Family Values.
