'You' Season 3 Is Set To Start Filming In November

The third season of 'You' is expected to hit Netflix in 2021.

The hit Netflix series 'You' is set to return once again for the third season. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we won't be seeing Joe Goldberg this year, but next year is all game.

According to a recent report by Daniel Richtman in a Patreon post, You season 3 is set to start filming in November with the goal of wrapping up in "late April 2021".

Caroline Kepnes, the show's writer, had already confirmed in July that the story is completed. A fan inquired about the show's progress on Twitter, and Kepnes replied:

You 3 is done and I know I keep saying “soonish” but it’s truly so done that I saw possible covers last week. Your patience in a pandemic means the world to me. Thank you for waiting! Soonish he’s yours.
Also spoiler alert. In You3 Joe bitches about the word “soonish”

With the new season expected to wrap up filming in April 2021, we can probably expect a release date around the end of 2021.

Showrunner Sera Gamble spoke to Entertainment Weekly and gave us a little hint at what we can expect from the new season. She said:

The stakes are pretty high. I have so many questions about Love’s mother who’s incredibly in the picture at the end of the season, like how much she really knows about her children.
We wrote [the finale] hoping that we will get the opportunity to tell more story because we’re really excited with the seeds planted at the end of season two.

We'll keep you up to date with all things You season 3, so stay tuned!
