Will Smith Is Said To Be Working On A "Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air" Spin-off Series

Will Smith is among the most popular names in America and rightfully so. His decades of "sometimes" excellent work has made him a superstar. But to think, it all started on a little sitcom called "Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air" which is reportedly now coming back!

Will Smith is by far one of the biggest actors of today. Despite having his fair share of haters he's still responsible for some of the biggest box office successes of the 21st century. But a lot of his success can be attributed to his role in the TV show Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air.

It's been a long time since we last saw a new episode of Fresh Prince but according to some recent reports, Will Smith himself is working on a spin-off series.

The Hollywood Reporter reportedly interviewed Will Smith about his upcoming film "Gemini Man" and managed to get some substantial information regarding what Big Willy is up to.

The reporter writes: “In addition to producing Smith-fronted film projects, Westbrook is developing a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air spinoff series (he still earns hefty royalties from the 1990s NBC sitcom, now licensed to air in 193 territories).”

In case you don't know, Westbrook is a “cross-platform holding company” that Will Smith and his wife Jada oversee.

It is unclear what the spin-off series will be about and if it will even feature Will Smith.

This news is definitely surprising as Will Smith once said that the only way a Fresh Prince spin-off could happen is if ‘hell freezes over’. So it's either hell is beginning to get a little chilly right now or Smith had a change of heart.

Fresh Prince was first released in 1990 and went on for 6 years until 1996. The show put Will Smith on the map.

The next time we see Will Smith on the big screen will be on October 11th for his action film "Gemini Man" which will have Will fighting against his younger self. Will will also be strapping on his bulletproof vest once again as Mike Lowrey in Bad Boys 3 on January 17th, 2020.
