'Why the Hell are You Here, Teacher!?' (Nande Koko ni Sensei ga!?) might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it sure has built a solid fan base due to its provocative content. The ecchi anime is based on the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Soborou. The first season finished airing in 2019, and fans continue to await the arrival of season 2. Unfortunately, there are recent obstacles before the anime could return for another season. Will there be 'Why the Hell are You Here, Teacher!?' season 2? Let us find out.
As of this writing, 'Why the Hell are You Here, Teacher!?' has not been renewed for season 2 yet. Although the anime only scored a 6.51 rating on MyAnimeList, it continues to be among the most popular titles on Crunchyroll. Hence, the demand for season 2 remains high.
Unfortunately, the studio which produced the anime adaptation has shut down. Tear Studio filed for bankruptcy in December 2019, and it looks like they won't be able to get back on track very soon.
'Why the Hell are You Here, Teacher!?' will have to find another studio to produce season 2 of the anime.

The first season of the anime adaptation by Tear Studio aired from April to June 2019. An unaired episode was included in the anime's Blu-ray box that was released on December 11, 2019.
As of the moment, it seems that there are still no studios attached to create a second season of 'Why the Hell are You Here, Teacher!?' following Tear Studio's shutdown.
According to Tokyo Shoko Research, Tear Studio left a total debt of around 43 million yen. About 8 million yen of which is unpaid to around 50 animators. It seems unlikely for Tear Studio to recover immediately from its downfall. Hence, getting another studio to produce season 2 for 'Why the Hell are You Here, Teacher!?' is the most feasible way for the anime to return.
'Why the Hell are You Here, Teacher!?' is an ecchi anime that is catered to mature audiences. In case you are not familiar with the term, an ecchi anime usually displays playful and seductive themes.
'Why the Hell are You Here, Teacher!?' follows the story of a 17-year-old student named Ichirō Satō. He constantly gets in accidentally raunchy situations with his teacher Kono Kajima, who is known for being very strict.
The first season follows Satō and Kajima's daily mishaps, which eventually led to a budding romance.
If the anime returns for season 2, we are expecting to see a romantic rivalry unfold between a new student, his crush, and a young assistant teacher.
Yorito (Yori) Ito is a Kawanuma West Freshman student, who has a crush on Saya Matsukaze. However, their mutual American friend named Francesca Homura always gets in the way. Yori always finds himself in embarrassing situations with Francesca, who is now working as an Assistant Language Teacher at his school. Yori and Saya agree to help Francesca improve her teaching methods. But Francesca finds this as a perfect opportunity to embarrass Yori in front of Saya's eye, hoping the young man would pay her attention instead. Expect to see the three in some seriously awkward and seductive situations. Who will Yori eventually choose?
