Whitney Houston's The Bodyguard is celebrating it's 30th anniversary by hitting back to the silver screen.

On Sunday, Nov. 6, and Wednesday, Nov. 9, Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner will return to movie theaters in the romantic film. Tickets for “The Bodyguard” 30th anniversary screenings go on sale on Wed., Sept. 28 at 10:00 a.m. EDT at www.TheBodyguard30.com. After the film's closing scenes, fans will be treated to a special musical compilation celebrating the legacy of late legend Houston, who died in 2012.

The companion album to 1992’s The Bodyguard is the best-selling soundtrack of all time and tied for the 13th-biggest-selling disc in U.S. history with 18 million-plus units, per the RIAA. “The Bodyguard’s story and songs are indelibly etched on the hearts of movie and music fans all around the globe,” said Kymberli Frueh, SVP of Programming and Content Acquisitions for Trafalgar Releasing. “We are pleased to partner with Warner Bros. to bring this anniversary celebration to fans.” The Mick Jackson-directed film received widespread critical and public acclaim. Not only did it produce one of the best-selling soundtracks of all time but Houston's lungs of steel also earned her two Grammy Awards on the back of the hit "I Will Always Love You."

The 1992 hit movie tells the story of pop icon Rachel Marron, played by Houston, as she navigates an obsessive stalker sending her disturbing threats. This prompts Rachel to enlist ex-secret service agent Frank Farmer (Kevin Costner) as her bodyguard, but their relationship quickly becomes complicated as the lines between professionalism and romance blur.

Just a few months before the highly anticipated debut of the Houston biography I Wanna Dance with Somebody, The Bodyguard celebrates its 30th anniversary. Naomi Ackie, who played the Grammy-winning "I'm Every Woman" singer, will take centre stage as the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker actor. Even after she passed away, Houston's legacy has continued to grow.

With more than 200 million records sold globally, her record sales alone provide a glimpse into her celebrity. Her impressive list of honours also includes two Emmy Awards, sixteen Billboard Music Awards, twenty-two American Music Awards (AMAs), the aforementioned six Grammy Awards, and more than 400 career awards. She also held the record for the most awards given to a female artist until Beyoncé recently overtook her. .
