Brazilian digital artist Hidreley Diao has used AI to reimagine what some beloved animated characters would look like if they were real.
Watching animated movies or TV shows may sometimes lead you to think about what these characters would look like in real life. Sometimes we get live-action adaptations with real-life actors to breathe new life into these characters and for the times that we don't, we have a Brazilian digital artist Hidreley Diao.
Diao has taken this curiosity to a new level. Diao has used artificial intelligence (AI) to reimagine what some beloved animated characters would look like if they were real. "When we watch some animation, it is natural to accept the cartoonish proportions of the characters without any problems, after all, we are quite used to this type of trait," the artist explained. "But what if, as in a spell, they became real, flesh and blood? I tried to bring them into our world through artificial intelligence."
