Welcome to Chippendales Ending Explained: Why Did Steve Banerjee Kill Himself?

We see the Chippendales business five years after Nick's murder, and we see the business soar like never before. Steve meets Ray in Switzerland after he failed to kill three ex-Chippendales employees. Steve gets very paranoid, and he wonders if the FBI is after him. He gets so paranoid that he starts to believe that everyone around him is trying to get him, and he starts to suspect Ray, who he thinks is acting a little strange. In a flashback, we see the man who actually killed Nick, and he is getting arrested by the cops for dealing drugs. Steve Banerjee started his business alone, and by the end of it all, he was left alone. He finds himself alone almost all the time, especially when taking up all the responsibilities and running the entire venture all alone, and yet he refuses to take any of the blame himself. He refused to see that he was at fault, especially when it came to Nick's murder. But soon, he realizes that no matter what, it was only a matter of time before he ends up in jail, and he just could not see that happening. Steve is caught for murder and a couple of other charges. We also know that the only person Steve ever cared for was Irene, and he feels guilty for putting her in this situation. Steve didn't want to put her in a financial crisis, so he was forced to look at the option; hence Steve killed himself one day before his sentencing.
