Vinland Saga follows the story of a young man named Thorfinn, who was born in a frozen village of Iceland and has grown up listening to the stories of a place called Vinland. Vinland is said to be fertile and warm, unlike the place our hero was born. In the escalating war between the Danes and England, when the Viking mercenaries are only focused to make a name for themselves and amidst the chaos, Thorfinn loses his father. Now Thorfinn must survive alongside the man who killed his father and endure the pain of survival and emotional conflicts.
It is likely that the original voice cast members will make a comeback if a third season happens. So, Yûto Uemura will voice Thorfinn, and Naoya Uchida will voice Askeladd. We will also get Hiroki Yasumoto as Bjorn and Akio Ootsuka as Thorkell. Wit Studio and MAPPA Studio animated the first and the second season respectively.
