Vin Diesel teased fans the other day through his Instagram post.

Vin Diesel is keeping his fans hyped about his comeback of another of his most famous franchises, Riddick. Vin took to his Instagram and shared an image of the titular antihero, reported Screenrant.

“Great meeting today, very excited about this next chapter,” Diesel said in a caption alongside an image of the titular antihero.

Saying "exciting is an understatement," Diesel shared a couple of storyboard images and a short clip from the screenplay in another Instagram post. The script seems to tease the possibility of a successor to the Riddick legacy, which is an interesting idea Diesel has never hinted at before.

Furya, you might remember, is the name of Riddick's homeworld, which he was working to save in Riddick. You can check out that film's official synopsis here: "Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to Furya to save it from destruction."

Vin is clearly very eager about the happening of Riddick 4. He has been keeping his fans forever updated on the film's succession. "[Director] David Twohy, he wrote a great script,” Diesel said back in June. “It's just a matter of timing when we get that opportunity to shoot that. But I believe we're shooting that in Australia. And it would be the fourth chapter in that series, which would be awesome. We did have great success with Escape From Butcher Bay. It feels like an eternity ago now. But, I imagine that we would take advantage of the gaming space and add an extra chapter, but definitely, the [movie's] script is already written. So it's safe to say that we are moving towards filming the fourth chapter of Riddick."

The tagline, as read by Diesel's son in a 2019 social media post, is apparently "everyone wants to be a beast, until it's time to do what real beasts do."

Riddick began life as the enigmatic villain/antihero of 2000’s superb sci-fi horror outing, Pitch Black. Starring Radha Mitchell, Cole Hauser, and Keith David alongside Diesel, audiences are introduced to dangerous criminal Richard B. Riddick, who is being transported to prison in a spacecraft. When the spaceship is damaged, the crew is forced to make an emergency crash landing on an empty desert planet inhabited by predatory alien creatures. The monstrous creatures can only survive in the dark, and while this would ordinarily be good news, the planet’s three suns are about to set and plunge the planet into, you guessed it, pitch black. And so, Riddick joins forces with the surviving crew and other passengers to develop a plan to survive and escape.

There is no official targeted production or release date known for Furya yet.
