Twilight Of The Gods Season 2: Everything We Know So Far

Twilight of the Gods, the newest animated series on Netflix, was created by Zack Snyder, Eric Carrasco, and Jay Oliva. Inspired by Norse mythology, the eight-episode series tells the tragic story of Sigrid (Sylvia Hoeks), a battle-hardened warrior, and Leif (Stuart Martin), a mortal king. Their wedding day becomes a nightmare when Thor (Pilou Asbaek) unleashes his unrelenting anger, leaving them devastated. Leif and Sigrid go on a mission for vengeance with a motley crew of crusaders and the help of master trickster Loki (Paterson Joseph).

Fans will be clamoring for more as Twilight of the Gods season 1 ended on a cliffhanger. Can we expect more episodes? Here’s everything we know so far.

Has Twilight of the Gods Been Renewed For Season 2?

For those who enjoy mythology and epic fantasy, Twilight of the Gods is an aesthetically spectacular and captivating series with a broad appeal. Netflix has not yet made an official announcement for a second season.

Writer Jay Oliva told Whats On Netflix in an interview that the crew is waiting for Netflix to give the go-ahead to start work on the next installment. “Of course, we are eagerly waiting to work on Twilight Season 2,” he said.

The choice to renew will, as usual, be based on how well season 1 does on Netflix.

The show doesn’t act like a limited series, as we’ll see later. Rather, the season concludes with (spoiler alert) Sigrid entering Valhalla and meeting Thor, leaving fans yearning for more. There will undoubtedly be another outcry from spectators if it stops here.

All eight Twilight of the Gods season 1 episodes are now streaming on Netflix.
