There are twelve volumes in the original manga series. Also, volume 12 got issued on August 17, 2018. Therefore, we can legit say that the show might have more reasons than just one or two, as there are 48 title characters and fans do deserve to know more about their role, significance, and where their relationships stand. Another possibility we definitely cannot ignore is the fact that the series creators garnered success and managed to get the attention of the targeted audience. If we look at the figures and numbers, MyAnimeList has given this anime series a score of 7.56 from 391,079 votes. Therefore, to decide whether the anime series will get a renewal or not, the creators and producers look at this aspect before making any decision, and they seem content with the kind of ratings the series has got even on Crunchyroll, which is 4.6 stars out of 5.
Now that we know that season 1 covered only half of the manga, if season 2 happens, it will mostly focus on the relationships of other couples, and deal with the dramas followed by it. It is likely that the second season will come out sometime in 2024 or 2025.
