Makoto's adventures continue to season 2!
'Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy' is an isekai anime that follows a normal kid Makoto Misumi. After getting transported to a fantasy world to become its hero, the world's unnamed goddess decides to cut him loose because he does not meet her beauty standard. The anime is produced by C2C Studio, based on a light novel series written by Kei Azumi and illustrated by Mitsuaki Matsumoto. The first season of the anime aired from July to September 2021. Yes, 'Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy' will return for season 2! The anime's official website confirmed on September 22, 2021, that the series would receive a second season. The announcement came after the first season aired its final episode. They also released a promotional video clip for the new season, which you can see below.

We expect 'Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy' season 2 to pick up from the ending of season 1. By the end of the first season, Makoto fights and defeats the powerful adventurer Sofia Bulga (Miyuki Sawashiro) and Mitsurugi (Souma Saitou), a dragon. The two take part in the demon army's journey to exterminate humanity, but Makoto stops them. The exact plot of the second season is still unknown. However, it will likely cover Volume 5 of the manga series, based on where the previous season found a stopping point of the source material. Volume 5 sees Makoto, Mio, and Tomoe finally arriving at the Rotsguard Academy. Makoto wants to enroll as a student and share his knowledge from Earth. But he accidentally took the teacher employment exam instead of the student entrance quiz. Makoto decides to let go of his initial plan to become a student and work as a teacher instead while keeping his business as a merchant. The students were unaware that a "demon teacher" was among them. Makoto's class lectures eventually became popular because of their emphasis on the actual battle and combat experience. The school never had such practical training, and students have been dying to enroll in his class, even during summer vacations. We already met some of these students in the first season. Makato saved both Rembrandt's daughters Sif and Yuno, and it is apparent that the two are attracted to him.
There will also be activities to look forward to during the school festival, including a fighting competition that will serve as the main event. However, it is not all bliss and adventure for the season as Makoto, and his students will get confronted with some disasters.
