We have seen trolls in animated movies and might mistake them for small cute creatures who sing and dance, sorry to break it to you but those cartoon version of trolls is far from the troll based in Nordic folklore, especially Norse mythology. These beasts are ancient, grotesque creatures living far from human civilization. They are predatory, and pose a great threat to other species. When they walk, they don't leave behind footprints but craters, folklore also suggests that trolls come to life in darkness and turn into stone when touched by sunlight making them nocturnal. These folklores led many people to believe that many geographical landmarks are formed by trolls who were exposed to sunlight. Netflix's upcoming horror movie follows the story of one such troll who wakes up from slumber and starts to move toward the closest civilization. A group of experts try to solve the mystery and must stop the beast before it becomes the cause of their extinction. Here is Netflix's official logline for the movie Troll,
