Toxic Town Season 2: Everything We Know So Far

The Netflix series Toxic Town tells the real story of the Corby toxic waste incident.

The show, which was written by Jack Thorne (His Dark Materials), centers on a group of moms who are fighting for justice after it is found that the town’s hazardous waste is linked to the birth of children with defects.

Lead actors are Jodie Whittaker and Aimee Lou Wood. Other actors include Robert Carlyle, Rory Kinnear, Joe Dempsie, Brendan Coyle, Claudia Jessie, and Lauren Lyle.

Minkie Spiro is the director of Toxic Town, which is produced by Broke & Bones, a production company founded by Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones. Here’s everything we know about a potential season 2.

Will There Be Toxic Town Season 2?

No intentions for a second season have been revealed by Netflix. Since the show was first marketed as a miniseries, a second season is very unlikely to be ordered.

There isn’t much reason for the show to go on until it takes on a different case because the Corby scandal tale was likewise resolved in its four episodes.

Many people refer to the true story of Toxic Town as the English equivalent of Erin Brockovich, a paralegal who played a key role in establishing a case against Pacific Gas & Electric Company over contaminated water in Hinkley, California.

Julia Roberts, who won an Oscar for her portrayal, played the lead in the 2000 biographical picture Erin Brockovich, which focused on this case.

Regarding other such cases, Robert Bilott’s lawsuit against the chemical manufacturing corporation DuPont was dramatized in the 2019 movie Dark Waters. Mark Ruffalo and Anne Hathaway appeared in Todd Haynes’ legal thriller.
