Through My Window: Netflix Movie Ending Explained

It all begins with a wi-fi password, Netflix’s original movie Through my Window has everything that a love story needs.

The movie begins with Raquel (Clara Galle) discovering that Ares (Julio Peña) is using her Wi-Fi password and confronts him. Instead of apologizing, her neighbor warns her that she won’t let it go and she knows all its secrets, that is, she knows it’s obsessed with her. Upon discovering herself, Rachel admits that she loves her neighbor and wants to win him over. Ares says he feels nothing for her, but he always visits her room, approaches, flirts with her, and even tells her about her allergy to chlorine.

Ending Explained:

After getting to know each other, Ares and Raquel begin a relationship that is not without problems. First because of differences between them and then because of the refusal of those close to them to this new bond. Ares comes from a wealthy family where they have always instilled in him that love is a weakness and is not the most important thing when starting a family. So his family opposes his feelings for Raquel.

His father has already made plans for his son’s future, which include enrolling at Stanford to study economics in order to carry on the family business and the legacy of the Alpha 3. The two protagonists continue to struggle to be together throughout the novel, but they must overcome obstacles from everyone, including themselves, in order to accomplish so.

Raquel’s best friend Yoshi, who has emotions for her as well, advises the young author to forget about Ares and leave that family. Still, she ultimately chooses not to take his advice, and the two of them decide to attend the party together. However, as is to be anticipated, fate intervenes and the pair experiences a significant incident that will forever change their relationship.

The new Netflix film culminates with the prom incident when Ares is blocked from pursuing his desire to be close to Raquel by Yoshi, who strikes him and damages the pool around them without realizing that the young athlete is allergic to chlorine, endangering the pool’s integrity.

Following the incident, Ares’s family agrees that he can live his life in whatever he pleases and that his relationship with Raquel is OK. The young man chooses to pursue his dream of studying medicine in Stockholm. While Raquel, who also serves as the narrative’s narrator, reads the story to her pupils, “Through my Window,” to the audience’s applause.
