Iron Man Gets Voted The Second Favorite Avenger By Marvel Fans, Poll Reveals

After the results were released, the Marvel fans gave mixed reaction about it. Some of them criticized the decision while others were in full support.

Marvel's much-awaited 'Avengers: Endgame' is going to be out soon and the fans just cannot keep calm, especially after how things ended in 'Avengers: Infinity War' with Thanos killing most of the Avengers with just a snap of his fingers. The fans want to know what happens next and if the Avengers would be able to revive.

According to a report by Ladbible, after conducting a poll on Twitter, it was found that Thor is the most favorite Avenger among the fans. The poll gave two options to the viewers, Iron Man and Thor. Out of which Thor got the highest votes by the fans. Even though the demigod got the most votes he beat Iron man by just a few votes.

Thor bagged 51 percent while Iron Man got 48 percent votes. After the results were released, Marvel fans gave mixed reaction about it. Some of them criticized the decision while others were in full support.  A lot of people even defended Iron Man saying,  "Thor's popularity literally rose due to that one scene in infinity war, Iron Man any day."

Since the vote had only two superheroes as an option, a lot of fans dismissed both superheroes too and chose the other Avengers like Spider-Man and the Hulk. "Voted Thor but obviously it's Captain America," said a fan, while another added, "Should have put Spider-Man in though." As the Marvel Cinematic Universe unravels various storylines, featuring these superheroes, the choice of the audience also keeps changing.

With the recent release of 'Captain Marvel', the fans are seeing a potential future for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel boss Kevin Feige had said that Carol Danvers, played by Brie Larson is the most powerful Avengers among the others and she will also be the center of MCU as it moves forward.

It is hard to pick a favorite from all the Avengers as they have their own unique strength and their own set of weaknesses as well. They work best when they are a team and they all play major roles in it. The release date of 'Avengers: Endgame' is April 26 and that's really close. All the fans are keen on knowing whether Iron Man, who is stranded in space would survive or not.

The trailer of the film came out which also revealed the title of the movie. The fans were stunned as it showed a stranded in space Tony Stark counting the last minutes of his life as he has lost all hope of being rescued. The film also reveals that Thanos has wiped away 80% of life from the planet. Black Widow and Captain America have a plan and that's is their only option. Will they able to revive the other Avengers and save the planet? We will only find out once the movie is out.

The cast and crew of the film are tightlipped about the details of the film. Kevin Feige recently spoke about what's going on in the MCU to Collider in an interview. He spoke about the new de-aging technology that was used in 'Captain Marvel'.

"With Tony Stark, making those characters younger in limited scenes. Peggy Carter, we did at the top of the first Ant-Man film. We said, 'We think the technology has gone far enough that we can do an entire movie, that we can have a main character in an entire movie de-aged," he said.

"It helped that the characters, as I said at the press conference, was Clark Gregg and Sam Jackson because those two haven’t really aged like normal human beings over the past 20 years. But I think it was tremendous the way it worked in Captain Marvel, and yeah, I think looking for new ways to use it is fun. I think we used to believe, and I think it used to be true, that you really could only do it for a scene or two," added Kevin.

In the same interview, Kevin was asked whether the title of the upcoming Avengers film gave out spoilers.  "Well, I think I’d said that it all had gotten blown out of proportion to some extent. But it was a spoiler, because if you knew before Infinity War came out that the next movie was called Endgame, then you know that there wasn’t an ending to Infinity War. But that had been the title of the movie from the moment we conceived of doing the two films. In large part, because…it’s seeded right there. I mean, it’s seeded in Ultron," he said.
